Exposing the Lies of the Regime
Tucker Carlson and his team, over the past week, reported on surveillance footage the public has never seen regarding the protests at the Capitol on January 6, 2021.
It was first reported by Axios on February 20 that Republican House Speaker Kevin McCarthy gave Fox News’ Tucker Carlson and his producers “unfettered” and exclusive access to over 40,000 hours of surveillance footage of the massive protests that occurred at the Capitol on January 6, 2021. “There was never any legitimate reason for this footage to remain secret,” Tucker said.
Over the past week, Tucker Carlson’s extensive reporting and coverage of the January 6 footage reinforced the true notion and obvious fact that the January 6 protests were not, in fact, a concerted “insurrection” attempt by MAGA supporters aimed at overthrowing “American democracy.” Such an absurd notion, from the very beginning, was seen as laughable and preposterous by the critical thinker and observer.
“Taken as a whole,” Tucker Carlson said on his show last Monday night, “the video record does not support the claim that January 6 was an insurrection. In fact, it demolishes that claim.” Carlson added that “by controlling the images” that the public was allowed to see on January 6, “they controlled how the public understood that day.”
“They could lie about what happened, and you would never know the difference,” Tucker said. “Those lies had a purpose. They created a pretext for a federal crackdown on opponents of the uniparty in Washington.”
Tucker is spot on. In the aftermath of the demonstrations held at the Capitol, the event was utilized and taken advantage of by the U.S. National Security State and its cheerleaders in the deep-seated uniparty to usher in a new war on terror — this time a domestic one waged against the enemies and detractors of the regime’s politics and policies.
The civil liberties of those arrested at the Capitol were disregarded; some individuals were brutally beaten by prison guards while imprisoned; email and financial records were seized by the January 6 committee without judicial review; social media censorship skyrocketed; Washington D.C. became militarized; and frequent comparisons were made between Trump supporters and real terrorist organizations overseas. These are just a few examples of the increased authoritarianism we saw emanating from D.C. shortly after the events of January 6, 2021.
Tucker Carlson’s reporting on the January 6 footage further dispels the official narrative surrounding the events on that day. It can be said that’s why politicians in both parties worked so hard to prevent the public from witnessing the footage. Needless to say, it just doesn't fit the narrative of their planned domestic war on terrorism, which they wished to wage against American dissidents.
Despite their disingenuous efforts to prevent the public from viewing the tapes, polls overwhelmingly show that the American public approves of releasing the footage. In one case, a recent Rasmussen poll reported that 80% of Americans are in favor of showing the footage. On the other hand, it was shown that 70% of Republicans and 57% of Democrats “believe it is at least somewhat likely that undercover government agents helped provoke the Capitol riot.”
Jacob Chansley
One of the most famous tapes to circulate out of Tucker’s reporting was surveillance footage of Jacob Chansley, the infamous “Qanon Shaman.” Quite contrary to the official narrative spun by the regime, Chansley was not at all violent in his participation in the demonstrations. When reviewing the footage shown by Carlson, Chansley is quite literally being escorted and led through the building by Capitol Police; the officers are even shown attempting to open locked doors for Chansley, practically acting as his Capitol Hill tour guide.
Jacob Chansley, as a result of his “role” in the “riots,” received a nearly four-year- sentence in prison, despite there being absolutely no evidence of violence committed by him. The recently released footage was deliberately withheld by the January 6 committee from Chansley’s attorneys, an outrageous subversion of ethics. What has happened to Chansley and his family can be aptly described as a travesty of justice. He should be freed.
Contrary to popular belief among the corporate media, no police officers were murdered by the crowds on that day. According to the corporate media, Officer Brian Sicknick was claimed to have been killed by MAGA protesters with a fire extinguisher, but again, that myth was further debunked by Tucker’s reporting. The real victim of unnecessary violence on that day was Ashli Babbit, an unarmed U.S. Air Force veteran who was callously murdered by Capitol Hill police officer Michael Byrd.
Tucker Carlson, once again, proves he is one of the most important journalists of our time, especially one of the most important and consequential within corporate media. Few others have been willing to challenge the status quo, whether it’s with regard to war and foreign policy, domestic politics, or Julian Assange. No other host in the mainstream media has showcased such zeal for the truth in reporting on these topics. For that, he deserves heaps of credit.
The January 6 committee, led by Liz Cheney, Adam Kinzinger, and Adam Schiff, erroneously overexaggerated the events that occurred at the Capitol more than two years ago, spewing countless untruths and deceptions in attempts to gain more power. Portraying the protests as a ‘violent’ and ‘deadly’ insurrection, they subverted the truth of what happened on January 6: aside from a few rabble rousers and agitators, the overwhelming and vast majority of individuals who participated in the events of January 6th were peaceful and non-violent.
The U.S. national security state, empowered by its cheerleaders in Congress, is the most overt threat to the everyday American. The outright lies perpetrated on the American people concerning the protests on January 6 advance that assertion.
I like your article and Tucker’s about the January 6th insurrection. Anyone who has been following this so called insurrection knows it’s a farce. I never saw so many liars on this committee-what an embarrassment!! I am just tired of Government and politicians, Democrats and Republicans that are Cowards and Liars! They know it was staged and rigged to make MAGA supporters look bad. I’m just wondering what this so called Regime has up their sleeve next!??
